Closed testing on Google Play
Help NOTEPANS launch.
Before NOTEPANS can be released to everyone, Google needs 12 people to test it for 14 days. It takes about a minute to join, and it would really help.
- Android only
- Free to test
- About a minute
Three steps, in this order
Join the test
Use the same Google account for all three: the one signed in to the Play Store on your phone. Please do this on your phone.
-
Join the tester group
Google Play only lets members of this group in, so this comes first.
Join the group -
Send me your Gmail address
I add testers by email in the Play Console. Send the Gmail address you use on your phone's Play Store and I'll reply when you've been added.
Email my Gmail -
Tap “Become a tester”
This opens Google Play's testing page. Accept the invitation there.
Open the testing page -
Download the app
If the Play Store says “not found”, do step 2 first and give it a few minutes.
Get it on Google Play
Then just keep it
Keep it for 14 days
That's all Google needs from you. If you have a few minutes, a bit of real use helps me a lot.
- Keep it installedLeave NOTEPANS on your phone for the full two weeks, and stay in the group / opted in. Please don't uninstall early.
- Open it once in a whileA quick look now and then is plenty.
- Try the things only NOTEPANS doesAdd a vault entry for Gmail or Facebook and see its logo. Make a shopping list with prices and watch the total. Attach a person or a place to a note.
- Try the everyday basicsWrite a note, add a task with a reminder, save a place on the map, add a promise, make a backup.
- Tell me what's confusingHonest feedback is very welcome. Anything that felt unclear, slow or broken helps.
Good feedback
What to include when you report something
- What you were doingFor example: "adding a price to a shopping list item".
- What happened vs. what you expectedA screenshot helps a lot.
- Your phone model and Android versionSettings → About phone.

Quick fixes
The Play Store says “Item not found” or the app doesn't show up
Do step 2 first (open the testing page and accept), then wait 5–10 minutes and search again or use the “Get it on Google Play” button. Make sure the Play Store on your phone uses the same Google account you joined with.
The testing page says I can't become a tester
Usually this means you're signed in to a different Google account, or you haven't joined the tester group / been added yet. Switch to the right account, then try the link again.
Is it safe? What does it access?
NOTEPANS asks for permissions only for features you use, at the moment you use them (for example location when you save a place). Your data stays on your phone. Read the privacy policy.
Do I need to pay anything?
No. Testing is free.
Can I uninstall after the 14 days?
Yes. I'd be glad if you kept using it, but after the test period it's your choice. Your data lives only on your phone, so uninstalling removes it. Make a backup first if you want to keep it.
Thank you, it really means a lot 💜
I made NOTEPANS so my notes, tasks and passwords could live in one private place. Questions, bugs or ideas: send me an email.
