Delete your data

Updated

NOTEPANS has no accounts and no servers, so there is no copy of your data held by the developer and nothing to send a deletion request for. Everything is on your phone, and you control it. Here is how to remove it.

Delete individual items

Open the item in NOTEPANS (a note, task, event, contact, vault entry and so on) and use Delete. Deleting a collection only un-files its items, it doesn't delete them.

Delete everything on your phone

Either of these removes the app's database, attachments and downloaded map tiles:

This cannot be undone. If you might want your data later, make a backup first from inside the app.

Backup files and exports

Backup files (.snapbackup), calendar exports (.ics) and anything you shared from the app are saved where you chose to put them (a folder on your phone, another app, cloud storage you use). They are not removed when you uninstall NOTEPANS. Delete them yourself from that location.

Map tiles

Map areas you download are stored on your phone and are removed with the app. You can also delete a downloaded area from the Map screen. Loading map tiles sends requests to OpenStreetMap, which has its own privacy policy. See our privacy policy.
