By installing or using NOTEPANS you agree to these simple terms. If you don't agree, please don't use the app.
1. What NOTEPANS is
NOTEPANS is a personal organizer for Android that stores your notes, tasks, events, contacts, passwords and other items on your own device. It is provided for your personal, non-commercial use.
2. Testing versions
While NOTEPANS is in closed testing, it may contain bugs, change without notice, or stop working. Please don't rely on a test version as the only copy of anything important. Make backups regularly.
3. Your data and your responsibility
Your data stays on your device and is protected by a master password that only you know. The developer cannot recover that password or your data. You are responsible for remembering your master password and for keeping your own backups.
4. Acceptable use
Don't use NOTEPANS to break the law, to store content you have no right to keep, or to try to interfere with, reverse-engineer for harmful purposes, or misuse the app or its related website.
5. No warranty
NOTEPANS is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, to the extent permitted by law. The developer does not guarantee that the app will be error-free, uninterrupted, or that data will never be lost.
6. Limit of liability
To the extent permitted by law, the developer is not liable for any loss of data, or for indirect or consequential damages, arising from the use of or inability to use NOTEPANS.
7. Third-party services
Map tiles come from OpenStreetMap, and links you open are handled by other apps or your browser. Those services have their own terms and privacy policies.
8. Changes
These terms may be updated. The latest version is always on this page. Continuing to use the app after a change means you accept the update.
